• Pad surfaceresistivity = 100 Mega Ohms.
• Pad surfaceto earth terminal ≈ 50 Mega Ohms.
• Charge decay: less than 2 seconds

Principle of Working :
Personnel, during normal activity, generate electro static charge on the body and gets stored in capacitance there of (Typical value 150 to 220 pF). When a person, having acquired charged it is necessary that he identified earth path to remove it. The electro static charge slowly discharges to earth through pad surface and built in resistors. This discharge energy is indicated by GREEN indication.
 

Installation:
Static discharge pad is wall mounting type. This can be fixed at any place in Hazardous or Non Hazardous areas with good illumination. The earth terminal is to be connected to Earth pit. The static discharge pad should be away fromdirect sun light.

• Install the PAD near to entrance or any exit in the plant area
• Check the usage of the battery frequently
• Install the pad and connect the two cores of the PAD to Same Earth Pit
• Touch the PAD Surface for 3 Seconds and allow the GREEN indication to light
• Kindly release the hand after 03 Seconds
• Repeat the Process every time a person enters the Hazardous area

Maintenance :
The SDPD surface is to be cleaned daily with a dry cloth to remove surface contamination.
