There will always be areas in a workplace where human traffic is low and therefore the chances of detecting a fire early, minimal. Often these are also areas which contain very high stacks of flammable materials, not reachable by manually operated extinguishers. The best examples of such places would be high chemical stacks, warehouses and server rooms. Because these extinguishers are ceiling mounted, they are able to put out fires in areas that are beyond the reach of normal fire extinguishers.
